(the stuff that is mostly burning is Arundo donax... not sure if burning it actually kills it or not). Ooof... no. UC: "Arundo is highly flammable and can quickly carry fire along waterways. After a fire, arundo quickly grows back from its roots. With other nearby plants burned by fire, arundo can spread even more quickly, leaving no room for native plants to recover."

by AI6YR Ben ; @ai6yr I had the Cal Fire 3D map set to that evacuation zone and started cooking. I noticed something move. On closer examination, it was water dropping helicopters. That thing is great.

@ai6yr I'll be monitoring for a while yet, but as you say the intensity is greatly reduced, and with four modern helos on the job it should no longer be a threat pretty soon.

@ai6yr I'm glad things seem to be slowing. If the fire spreads all the way to the wastewater treatment plant where Harbor meets the river, that would be really crappy.
