@ai6yr I'm glad things seem to be slowing. If the fire spreads all the way to the wastewater treatment plant where Harbor meets the river, that would be really crappy.

@ai6yr i think that's the 3rd PDS we've had here the last few months (the other 2 coinciding w/ Mountain & Franklin fires). i don't recall seeing those too often beforehand.

interestingly, iirc last week's red flag warning was *not* a PDS... right?

@Evading_Review Last week was a PDS, but not for Ventura County -- it was a PDS for Pasadena/Altadena.

Mountain, Franklin, Eaton/Palisades all matched up with the PDS. I was really wondering about those but the NWS crew called it correct every time, the conditions were just too extreme.

There was a PDS in San Diego at the same time, but (thankfully) they were not hit.

I do believe they are the very first PDS warnings ever for Southern California, at least since I started checking Red Flag Warnings obsessively in 2017.

@ai6yr @camless @nifc_bot I had noticed Watch Duty's posts had been less frequent. The local news stations seemed to be reporting evac zones just as fast as they were. Throttling the rate of communication during a fire seems really foolish.

You're a good one, Ben, and I fully trust you in times like these. We got your back.
