Mijn sterkste hoop is dat over een paar generaties we zo zijn "vermixed", mensen eindelijk stoppen met het woord "ras" toe te passen op een soort dat in theory allemaal hetzelfde is, we hoomans :blobcatgiggle:
Maar indd, blanke bleekscheten moeten even heel snel normaal doen.. Ik ben er ook een maar wil graag laten zien dat het ook anders kan

Yay! Finally fixed all issues for a client of my gf who had troubles with their Mac and programms not working anymore
She and her husband are both blind so rely on VoiceOver and this often works quite reasonable, she was a little stuck with the audio converting software
So after 3 fix sessions we now use other software that does the same but isn't as bloated and works a lot better with VoiceOver
Remember devs: less is more in UI

@marten It's basically that younger generations are having less and less kids in general. Esp in South Korea for example this is quite noticeable
My gf and me also feel like this, adoption is an option but not kids from "ourselves"

I bitch a lot on AI and that mainly is because I dislike generative AI that's been thrown out into the public like a massive alpha test and some people are using AI to generate more AI content to flood everything
But AI can certainly be used in a LOT of cases where it can be of huge benefit, tasks, calculations or simulations that are just too hard or complicated for the human mind
So yeah, my relationship with AI is uh.. "difficult"
@stux My opinion on AI is that it shouldn't be used to "create art" it should strictly be an efficiency enhancer for use alongside humans at work for the sort of things that you mentioned, the moment its connected to social media or web video platforms it becomes an issue for me.

Personally I do feel a HUGE difference in what I am able to actually do compared to what my parents taught me
There is no room to "save up money", buy a /big/ house or car, go on yearly vacation etc
So yeah, as a millennial I do think it's getting a lot harder, I can't even imagine the next gen, oof.

@stux what gets me is how skewed the concept of alternative economies has become, especially in the age of crypto.
It feels like barter trade is progressively being muted. And I dont mean the libertarian woo-fantasy.
Used to have five barter fairs within 300 miles every summer. They've all gone.
Farmers markets, the co-ops, tack and trade..
Big daddy corpo has no tears in his eyes over high prices.
But have we truly forgotten the power of good neighbors? i wonder..

If Threads is also gonna add "AI users" or bots as we call them and they will also federate, Threads will be added to the blocklist
I do not stand for polluting the web, let alone the Fediverse
@stux What about defederating Threads because Zuck is a fascist?
I'm looking for a new instance, but I want it to be one that doesn't federate with Threads.
