The real fear is that Democrats will decide that with Trumpster's victory, that seals the verdict that only by latching themselves onto the alleged "conservative wave" and becoming even more dependent on billionaires, corporate lobbyists, and "moderate conservative" strategists will they be able to out wait the "extremist" GOP Right and seize power again. Besides, liberals have nowhere else to go and must wait until the pendulum swings back towards "the center", right? /s

I was hoping that things would skate until the decision on my disability benefits appeal went down later this month, but my fam wants me to take full advantage of this offer right now. I have to pick up and file the application tomorrow.

I wonder if there was some discreet way where I could present my paylink transaction statements as verification of receiving income enough that I could then pay the initial fee and move in...

There is a bigger problem, though: while I can cover the first month of rent and the application fee, they also require documentation of at least three months of previous income. Meaning, I would probably have to risk blowing my cover about my crowdfunding of the previous year.

I wish there was a way I could show I am getting income without revealing my "begging", because that would bring forth some serious Hell on me from my family.

Welp....I may have found my permanent place to move!! But, there's a major catch.

My sister discovered an open one bedroom apartment just on the edge of the city where I live that is selling absolutely insanely cheap, as in $170 per month rent. Right now I am paying nearly $500 per month on rent, so this is an absolute bargin!!

I'm not as keen on how far it is from the city, but the cost more than offsets the inconvenience.

Even with that, I would be guaranteed 18 months of backdated payments in addition to resuming regular monthly disability payments if I win my appeal. I could use that to relocate to my own apartment and avoid having to move in with relatives. Although, it is nice to have that latter option if worse comes to worst.

There is a chance that the ruling on my disability benefits appeal will come down before I ultimately am forced to move; it was set to be decided from next week to 30 days afterwards. If I win this, I would be entitled to have my disability benefits restored monthly, retroactive to January of 2022, minus legal fees and the claw back from my insurance company of benefits they paid out from July 2022 to January 2024.

Today's update: Thanks to your kind donations yesterday, my expenses and bills are now up to date for now, and there are no really pressing needs at the moment. Thank you all for all your support!!

My move has now been delayed a bit due to a complication involving my current landlord resulting in my not having to move out immediately. I still have expenses upcoming, but for now I can at least stay put.
