In response to this post Off topic, but the tower you see in that image is the abandoned AT&T Microwave Tower on Topanga Ridge. Looks like they have set up equipment around the base, probably for the fire. FIRIS is the California program where there is a dedicated ISR (Infared Sensor) plane, which is available to frequently image fires. This allows fire departments to better track exactly where a fire is, and also helps them identify hotspots and areas of concern. FIRIS is only available in California.
