@__josh We live in interesting times... very interesting times. I never thought we'd see a massive urban conflagration destroying a modern Los Angeles city versus one in the hills, yet, here we are.
@ai6yr Any good reason you can think of that these flares would be here? (From the KTLA live feed over a small fire by the 210.) When the camera operator saw what it was, he cut the stream.
@__josh Yep, those are crews backburning... I have not been listening to the stream, but they do that normally. You can see the guy on the left with a "drip torch". They light fires in areas to eat up the fuel ahead of the main fire and starve it of places to go.

@BakerRL75 They're going to need to reverse traffic on PCH into Santa Monica. Still a ton of traffic heading into the zone and gridlock heading out.
