Off topic, but the tower you see in that image is the abandoned AT&T Microwave Tower on Topanga Ridge. Looks like they have set up equipment around the base, probably for the fire.

Wired: The Abandoned Microwave Towers That Once Linked the US
AT&T made history 63 years ago when it launched the $40 million microwave radio-relay skyway, a network of 107 microwave towers.

Helco is requesting two Type II helicopters from either LA or VNC, immediate need. 1/11/25 0630

At the moment it looks like one LA County night flying copter has been dropping water on hotspots above Camp Josepho. They are filling up at the reservoir on the north and shuttling down canyon to a hotspot. 1/11/25 0632

@ai6yr is it time that armed forces face dual threats. One is of course hostile enemies but the other, just as hostile is internal due to weather. Navy who can launch flood rescue quickly. Armythat canengineer solutions to supply and reduce impact and provide manpower. Navy trained in firefighting with Chinooksand Hercules/A400M fitted with equipment to help in fires and floods.

@ai6yr I love seeing these things IRL, Wish they could be repurposed full time somehow.
