In response to this post @stux @tikend this is PRECISELY why the #Fediverse is much more resilient than anything from #Meta #Facebook #Instagram #Tiktok #reddit It would be extremely hard to shut the Fediverse down on a global scale. If the #USA bans it, then users can migrate to Fediverse servers anywhere else in the world. There are currently 22,668 Fediverse servers :)

The SCOTUS decision regarding the US #TikTok ban is probably going to set off a wave of scams and malware that claim to offer access to TikTok. Some unsolicited advice off the top of my head: If you're concerned about the ban and are in the US, download the official app from the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store before the can is scheduled to take effect. Ignore everything else.

The president is now a king? Cool. Can't be punished for his actions. And can issue unilateral decision opposing the other two branches. Fucking Neat.
