by wraptile ; "The people should own the town square" Who could say it any better? Social media has to be a part of our public infrastructure or else it is just a tool of public manipulation and oppression. It is antithetical for social media to be owned by a corporation.

@Mastodon I think hosting Mastodon in Switzerland and Germany is the best option for keeping data private. These countries have strong data protection laws, so it makes sense for ensuring our info stays safe.

It sounds like a contradiction to me Thanks for the clarification
