In response to this post@stux As someone who hasn’t been on .social in years, it feels like the dirty choice to me. A lot of out of pocket and rude posts I see boosted are from .social. It seems like the closest instance to conventional platforms and their toxicity. It makes sense because most people will go to the biggest server, but bigger doesn’t always mean better.

I'm on this instance because I've been part of the InfoSec game since the end of the 80's. But I'm also into common lisp coding and some other subjects. And I know relatively where those people can be found.
Newcomers might find it harder to find their niche, and find it harder to find their way. I know at least one person here from X who has not been successful finding their niche. They joined a non-specific instance and can't see how I could possibly find this social or enjoyable.
