Is there a single automated phone system anywhere in the world where the "menu options" have NOT "recently changed"?

@MostlyHarmless No, because removing that message would count as a recent change.

@MostlyHarmless There only is "a single automated phone system"! ALL customer service numbers in the world connect to the same huge switchboard in [undisclosed location].
Realizing this will clarify most of the mystery and frustration of ringing up one of these numbers.

@MostlyHarmless My favourite systems are those that do not allow you to speed-run the menu by pressing multiple tones in a row.*
They live for people getting frustrated, hanging up, and blaming themselves for being too stupid to navigate the twisty little touch-tone options, all alike.

(Morgan Freeman voiceover) These systems are not, in fact, his favourites.

@MostlyHarmless if you remember the number order, you can type them all in sequence, without waiting for the messages, moving faster.
they say "menu options have changed" to discourage people from doing that.
it never really changes.

@MostlyHarmless Yes. They changed all of them so that “0” no longer skips to a human.
