Okay, here comes my #introduction
I'm a #museum professional since 25 years and I love #collections #MuseumDocumentation and #RegistrarLife so much I wrote a book about it. I was a collections manager at a science and technology museum for 18 years, then changed coats to train people in using data bases for managing their collections.
I do have a blog called #RegistrarTrek although it is not really active right now.

In response to this post@stux The problem is that people who are INSIDE the fediverse tend to explain it in a way that makes a lot of sense to them - because they are already inside. But they scare people even more.
I tried to write an article to help people who want to transition from twitter recently, explaining how they could think of Mastodon as a city and servers as streets:
