@rustoleumlove @ai6yr

I remember seeing a training video
Of a US Marine, demonstarting how to win a fight.
It was excellent!
The Marine was a real expert in knife fights.

Step one, the assailant pulls the knife on you.
Step two. You turn around 180 degrees, showing your back to the guy with a knife.
Step three (this is where you win). You sprint as fast as possible away from the guy with a knife.

@n_dimension @rustoleumlove HAHAHA! Excellent.

@alexs @jenstec @ai6yr @armerpunkt

Unsure of your specifics, but with most of the Docker builds you can mount the volume outside of the container, into the actual filesystem, which you can then grep log files you write into with scripts...

...you can also rebuild the container using Dockerfile to suit your purpose.
An act of wizardly I have successfully avoided so far.

@n_dimension @alexs @jenstec @armerpunkt I've done a bit of Docker... but it kinda irks me to have an entire OS encapsulated like that with other people's code, I always feel like it's a recipe for some kind of security hole.

@fgbjr @PamelaSchure @ai6yr @ascentale @bobjonkman

Aka

Boo boo kit.

I'm dilly dallying myself whether I should get a tourniquet, but apparently the cheap ones kill and the good ones are like $100+

If I ever have to use one, the poor bastard gets my belt and a leather man and MAYBE they won't bleed out before the ambo gets there.

@n_dimension @fgbjr @PamelaSchure @ai6yr @ascentale @bobjonkman I’ve thankfully never had to use one for real. But the advice I got in training was to source tourniquets from a rescue focused shop instead of searching Amazon.

I get mine direct from NAR and they’re ~$35

I appreciate the idea of a designated trainer tourniquet for practice.
