In response to this post@godzero @ai6yr fwiw I have 5 SEs that have had zero repairs (other than replacing dead hard drives and cleaning / lubing floppy drives) and are still going strong. The logic boards on these are fairly bulletproof (if not battery bombed) and the analog boards are usually where trouble would lie.

The disks from @ai6yr arrived today! Thank you, this is so much fun 😁 Will eventually fire up a Plus or SE to try a few of the bootable program disks, but just imaging and exploring for now
So far 17/17 are good, a mix of 400k and 800k

I have an SE which hasn't been fired up in at least 25 years. It would be interesting to see if it still works. I might even have some disks somewhere.
