I started watching Skeleton Crew on a whim, after being pretty sure I didn’t want to watch another Disney Star Wars thing

It’s the season of honors orchestras, and thus the season when I give my students two important instructions:
1) Practice the solo! You never know when someone is going to be late or sick and you’ll need to play it
2) Never play the solo in the rehearsal space unless it’s *your* solo! We’re going to be supportive orchestra colleagues!

This rant brought to you courtesy of the first episode of Man on the Inside. I love Mike Schur, but those were some truly epic “relating to teens as real people” fails. The teens were props instead of characters, and the show was all “Har har, isn’t it hard to parent teens??” For a showrunner who’s usually great at portraying humanity, it wasn’t a stellar showing
