Kash Patel is utterly unfit to lead the #FBI. Tell the #Senate to reject his nomination. Let’s take a stand for #justice, accountability, and the integrity of our law enforcement.

@ai6yr The scuttlebutt I read about this via FirePhotoGirl is not good.

@ai6yr If they have the drone's computer they can back track the serial number to where it was sold and possibly who bought it. If it was a DJI drone it had to have a DJI user account.

@ai6yr
What muppet puts a drone up in an active bushfire zone with air ops?
Some people are as dumb as a box of hammers.
If they catch him, he can pay for the damage to the plane and losses on the ground as a result of that grounding.

@ai6yr It sounds as if they may not have enough pieces of the (probably destroyed) drone to identify it. I assume it's just operator stupidity for thinking the law didn't apply to them, and hope they get a hefty fine as a reminder.
Of course, the conspiracy theorist part of me wonders if this is an FBI effort to frighten people from future use of drones.

@ai6yr As someone who’s been flying r/c since childhood, I can say that I doubt that you can appreciate how much this fucking pisses me off that it could even come to pass. I don’t mean the fbi.
