Hi Everyone, seems I don't have an so time to rectify that. I am what you might call an "old timer" having been on the net since 1978 as a SysAdmin at USC. I love systems, worked at Intel, Sun, startups, NetApp, Google, and was acquired by IBM. Currently consulting. I'm an autodidact and learn by doing (or breaking things). Post occasionally on news.ycombinator as ChuckMcM, and lately have been deep diving into . Also a fan of and on printables.com. Hi everyone!

@ai6yr Okay, I'm going to rant a bit here and you can feel free to mute me 😃

The observation that "after a disaster hits, then thinking about building better" is a hard pill to swallow is spot on, it is. But in Louisville and elsewhere, the pill here is that rebuilding to fight "climate change" (aka use energy standards) has *NOTHING* to do with keeping your home from burning down again the next time. 1/2

@ai6yr If they have the drone's computer they can back track the serial number to where it was sold and possibly who bought it. If it was a DJI drone it had to have a DJI user account.

All those zeros are very high frequency, so passing the data buffer through a very simple FIR filter to smeared them all out and poof, I've got a nice clean spectrum. (remember 96 kHz sample rate where my highest expected frequency is 20 kHz gives me lots of room for a slow roll off LPF).

Reminding me once again that Fourier sees everything, unless you take it out first.

@ChuckMcManis Great discussion!
