I'm curious, if you had to roughly estimate your donations to mutual aid requests from other members of the fediverse over the past year, how much would this add up to?


@stefan i picked less than a dollar because i don't think i have given to anyone i found on here in the past year. i have given a fair bit to both direct aid and mutual aid but mostly people and groups i found on bluesky or know from in person stuff

In the past we have had people ask about making donations to help curb our cost of running the server.

As Bookstodon.com is a labor of love (books are my real life obsession), we will never ask for donations.

We are also able to keep our costs low due to running our own Mastodon hosting platform.

If you are interested in helping out, we would just like you to help bring friends to Mastodon from Twitter or Goodreads whether it be our server or any other.
