Air activity is concentrated on the north side of the fire. It appears (in my opinion) that they are hitting hotspots on that side of the fire, trying to keep the fire from moving westward. 1/22/25 1519

@ai6yr LADWP pumped-storage powerhouse is at that NW tip of the lake. I wonder if some of the air support is intended to keep the fire away from DWP infrastructure.

Eastern side of the fire is getting significant retardant drops from tankers and MAFFS. Likely along a ridgeline. 1/22/25 1531


Radio traffic has slowed significantly on the operations channel, which (generally) is good news -- meaning they have all the resources they need on the fire. 1/22/25 1540
