I-5 has been shutdown N/S since 2:19pm, and I5 south of SR138 was shut down at 11:31am per Caltrans 1/22/25 1507

@ai6yr A friend of mine warned me of anothr fire. I'll be sort of in the area in 3 days, flying in, still though I'm worried about my lungs.


@ke7zum Things may change completely in 3 days... check back in a few days. Southern California fires move fast, burn hard, but don't last that long.

Air activity is concentrated on the north side of the fire. It appears (in my opinion) that they are hitting hotspots on that side of the fire, trying to keep the fire from moving westward. 1/22/25 1519


@ai6yr LADWP pumped-storage powerhouse is at that NW tip of the lake. I wonder if some of the air support is intended to keep the fire away from DWP infrastructure.

Eastern side of the fire is getting significant retardant drops from tankers and MAFFS. Likely along a ridgeline. 1/22/25 1531
