@MostlyHarmless Last night I was so close, so sorely tempted to email my father and my boss, both ex-Marines, “So, will we have to practice the salute for Dein Fuhrer?” And it took me a while to recall my old grade-school German lessons. Obviously I demurred, which is why I still have an absentee yet undamaged relationship with both of them. But god damn, the urge is right there, I wanna so bad… because it would hurt them and I really want that. Ah well. I won’t… for now… ;)

Dr. Stragelove - Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb.
A Stanley Kubrick movie - 1964
Peter Sellers played three parts - Dr Strangelove (an ex-Nazi from WWII); the president of the United States; and Jack D Ripper, a deranged USAF general who orders a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the Soviet Union.
A cult classic satirical movie, considered one of the best British black comedies.

@MostlyHarmless what a strange gesture Dr. Strangelove is making. What could it possibly mean?

I thought that whole "can't control his arm" thing was just a silly bit but I suppose it can really happen.
