This strikes me as extraordinary, particularly for parties in the UK. They have no idea what they mean to do.

In the coming months, we’re gonna have to see what happens to the insurance business They are in trouble because of massive disasters like this. And many of them have been relying on climate modeling to forecast the most at risk regions to decide rates or an exit. LA is one of them.
I don’t know how well they’ll managed to handle the scale of an event like this because the housing market in LA is so darn expensive. We can expect a lot of chaos and friction over claims.

If you have family on any Meta platform that could be targeted for deportation, they are open to being rounded up by the new administration. They are being tracked they can be tracked And you can be tracked through them.
These platforms are components of pervasive surveillance. And in this environment, you it’s not worth it to trust your life and safety to them . Nobody should consider them safe to have around.

Harken back to the history of the components of now Meta:
Facebook played the central role in the Rohingya genocide because they lack moderation
WhatsApp was also a source of violent mob attacks on individuals trapped in a rumor.
Both instituted moderation in order to stop it.
Their ability today to control the narrative is orders of magnitude more sophisticated. To be on those platforms is to be tracked every moment of your life.

Was one minor comment there are people who adoring themselves the label of left who are authoritarians themselves.
We live in a world where labels are rapidly expropriated for marketing purposes. And that means it's very hard to use a general term.

You know if we turned away from industrialized meat production, and sort of got agriculture back to a small scale multi crop farm operation where they bring in ducks or chickens to eat all the pests off a crop and fertilize it at the same time and also eat weeds like they do in Thailand, we’d probably have a lot less concern over birds raised for food or eggs.
Farmers would certainly need a lot less fertilizer and pesticides
