@nora every time i try and dig in to fedi meta i discover that there are people just as bad and usually as weird as the people on twitter or bluesky, except here they wield some kind of weird tangible power because they maintain some social backbone server with thousands of of users or something.

@nora actually, i think some of the bluesky people who are the most insistent that mastodon is unusably complicated are the ones who would get the highest and most obviously post-mad if they actually did try and make some beach heads here, so maybe that's a small blessing.
