More details on Santa Ana Wind Event with PDS
Ventura County OES:
The National Weather Service is forecasting Red Flag Conditions including an embedded Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) wind event for Ventura County starting Monday January 13 - Wednesday January 15. Long duration critical fire weather conditions due to moderate to locally strong Santa Ana winds will occur through at least Tuesday and likely through Wednesday for Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

Southern California Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS)
Southern California Edison is presently monitoring 54 circuits for potential PSPS starting Monday 1/13 at 9 AM - Wednesday 1/15 at 12 PM. Additional real-time information on the circuits being monitored can be found by visiting the Ventura County Sheriff’s Emergency Services Dashboard.

Ventura County Fire Department Upstaffing
The Ventura County Fire Department will be in a PLAN 2 BRUSH beginning Starting 1/13/25, 8 AM. This PLAN 2 BRUSH staffing pattern will be bolstered with additional firefighting resources.
he Ventura County Operational Area EOC will be activated to a LEVEL 2 beginning Monday 1/13/25, 8 AM – Wednesday 1/15/25, 5 PM.
Two Sheriff Sheriff’s Emergency Services personnel will be responding immediately to any new incidents to assist with evacuation and shelter coordination.
