In response to this post@vxo @michael_w_busch Cheap, heavy, but at least they don't implode in grand scale like Lithium. I have considered switching to LiFePO4, but I have yet to find a definitive study that says they are safer than Lithium.
@ai6yr @michael_w_busch I've seen safety demos done at least where they attempted to introduce what'd be a common and catastrophic failure mode for ICR lithium, and nothing spectacular happens - thermal runaway and combustion can't be achieved.
