@vxo @michael_w_busch Cheap, heavy, but at least they don't implode in grand scale like Lithium. I have considered switching to LiFePO4, but I have yet to find a definitive study that says they are safer than Lithium.

@ai6yr @michael_w_busch I've seen safety demos done at least where they attempted to introduce what'd be a common and catastrophic failure mode for ICR lithium, and nothing spectacular happens - thermal runaway and combustion can't be achieved.

@michael_w_busch @vxo LOL I have to take a photo of the SLA I am attempting to charge right now... the original charge date appears to be 2012, last 100% charge I put on there was in 2019. Might be dead, ha ha.
