@stux I've never seen that behavior on any Fire TV I'm familiar with.
@lauren@stux yeah I can confirm, neither of my Fire TVs nor any of the various sticks do it. That's not to say it couldn't be something sinister that's being A/B tested though---
@stux I've had an issue for some time now where my Roku will un-pause itself if the phone I'm streaming audio to receives a notification; I wonder if that might be related on some low level.
It doesn't with my setup but I've got a receiver and audio is muted there.
However, I can say for certainty that if you were listening to Pandora while driving, and you have Google maps up, then when you get an instruction to turn Google maps will interrupt the song playing to give you that information. But if there is an advertisement being played at the moment you need to make a left turn, tough cookies because that ad is going to play damn it!
