@ai6yr the best sales for electronics tend to be between October and the end of December. Many of last year's products will go on basically clearance sales to make room for next year's version and also for holiday season impulse buying.
As noted in another comment, sites like "Camel, camel" can track pricing over time.
@ai6yr I was checking a price tracker and it was $799 last fall as well. There is a huge up and down swing in pricing historically. (Assuming the price tracker is right.)
@ai6yr nah, that's just very typical price fuckery from Jackery. Who is one of the leaders in just randomly knocking over 50% off. Because it doesn't cost anywhere *near* the $799 MSRP to make. (That's Jackery's LISTED MSRP on their own site.)
@ai6yr I am really annoyed with sellers calling these inverters 'generators' ! Useful devices, but without the OPTIONAL solar panels or an actual e.g. Honda gen-set, there's no actual GENERATION.

And I do wonder how many are proper sinewave inverters vs cheapass garbage squarewave hammerverters which may or may not be safe for your critical appliances/devices that were built assuming clean power .
