@ai6yr @j Ah! Good to know. We may have to purchase something like that for our cottage. I think the stuff in the fridge is likely not salvageable with us not having power for at least 6 hours or more.

(ice cream didn't melt at all? GOOD! Melted: OH CRAP) - some people put a marble at the top of a frozen bottle of water, if the marble dropped to the bottom then you know your freezer was bad at some point.
@ai6yr @RestlessLipSyndrome I was sorta keen on this (https://www.bioliteenergy.com/pages/backup) especially because of the footprint… but goddamn that’s expensive and it’s not out yet. But I sorta like the “set it up and forget about it” concept.
