Law enforcement is allowing residents in the evacuation area a single visit to access their homes with reasonable verification. We encourage residents to be prepared to gather any and all documents or items needed during this one-time entry."

8. As you can, contact mortgage/landlord, banks, utilities etc. Let them know you are affected by disaster and how you can be contacted.
9. If you have someone you can trust, allow them to help with incoming paperwork or tasks
10. Organize paper coming in files or piles. Decide if it is best for how you think that they are by most recent date on top, or like a book read from front to back.

3. Start a simple log. Everything date, time, person contacted, basic summary (think ship's log)
4. Contact insurance company
5. Keep all receipts for everything you are buying now
6. Look through phone gallery for any photos or videos that show parts of home
7. Organize those in a file in the phone. Do not rely on tagging them.

If you are a grower, take precautions now for frost. Wednesday morning will be in the 40s and winds will make the temps much lower across SoCal
This event will have winds that will not only howl down canyons, but crest and wash over and down the mountain range (a mountain wave)

@kellyromanych @msbellows Watering the roof doesn't help unless a fire is approaching. However, I have wet down the entire yard (per my Red Flag Warning protocol), put bottles of dishwasher soap by several of the hoses (with fire nozzles), and I bought a car wash foaming unit (which my son used to wash his car yesterday, LOL), and happen to have a big jug of Phoscheck foaming agent... which would stick to the roof quite well. However, that assumes you have enough time to prep, most of the issues with wildfires during Santa Anas are fast moving fires where you have basically only enough time to scoop up some stuff and escape with your life.
