@waitworry Before the right got ahold of it and used it to describe "not being a huge piece of shit with no redeeming qualities" it had a similar meaning to "Greenwashing" in that it referred to advertisements that pretended a corporation was doing something good to make more money.
That usage was so short lived that I don't miss it, but I do remember it.
@ikanreed yeah that's basically why i specified "in the wild" because I know there are supposed to be legitimate uses of the term but haven't seen one actually happen yet lol
@waitworry@bootlegrydia I don't know. When it comes to consistency of foreign policy, at least, China is much more predictable. They're not perfectly righteous, but there's no risk of China, for example, promising to defend you no matter what in order to cause an adversary trouble, then throwing you to the wolves a few years later a la Ukraine.
@DotMaetrix@FediPact while, yes this is true, it's also worth noting that there's an 80% chance that a trans furry is running the major corporation's data warehouse for them anyways.
