In response to this post@stux @TCMuffin I think blocking specific instances is an individual choice imo. I blocked dot social because it's a sewer and I got sick of Xitter-lite responses, trolls and spam. That they've federated is just another good reason not to unblock.

I'm just at the point where the national Maastrict referenda are taking place and I'd forgotten so much about it. He's pretty scathing about how badly the implementation of the Euro was handled, and how much political capital they burned on it.
