Started using a new acronym and hashtag on the other socials: PWOJ or #PWOJ

Just letting someone (in this case, me) know they had slipped up, and pointing it out so they could course-correct.
Now, of course, if they double down, or get toxic from there, then Lots of Judgment may follow, but I was thinking this might help reduce some heat to a simmer instead of a boil.

Note to self: when the social media feeds have you exasperated and you feel your blood pressure rising, be the change you want to see in the world.
There's no sense adding fuel to the fire, especially when the stupid burns.

In response to this post@ChrisMayLA6 You see, I think it was known even then. Reading "The Californian Ideology" and "On Totalitarian Interactivity" recently for an episode, I was surprised at how well they captured the current age.
Both were published in 1995.
The trajectory we were on was recognized, even then. We just weren't listening.
(Still aren't, tbh.)
I think hope lies in the absence. With TikTok going down, will that wake people up?

yes, Richard Barbrook was very prescient; when I was writing on open source & IPRs he and I were occasionally on panels together and for a while met up every now & then for a chat - one of good guys!
