I'm a Welsh/Aussie Linux HPC geek now living in Berkeley, California with interests (in addition to HPC) in photography, nature, history, astronomy and archaeology. You can refer to me as he or him if you like.
I work at NERSC as part of the group that runs the supercomputers there and consider myself very lucky to do so.
@ai6yr my pleasure! Thank you so much for all you do - I have good friends in Northridge so I keep a weather eye (if you'll pardon the pun) on what you share (as well as other sources).
@chris_bloke@uccawx@ai6yr that’s pretty much where we’re at for ICS-trained members, including commercial radios and a repeater during organized deployments. But having a plan that lets untrained public with zero-barrier FRS radios become a useful part of the response or otherwise stay connected is really appealing.

@ai6yr they've got a nice site, includes a table of all the streets and FRS channels for each (which I'd never heard of before now). https://tcep.org/downloads/03Zones%20and%20FRS%20Channels%20by%20Topanga%20Streets.pdf
Also a nice status page with lots of info (last update 30 minutes ago): https://tcep.org/emergencystatus
