Backyard flocks are just as susceptibil for H5N1. The person who died in Louisiana got it from a backyard flock.

I've never used flaxmeal, so I'm not sure. Only broken flax steeds. Which I just keep in a container in the cupboard.
It is said that the omega 3 declines over time when broken. But it still creates the snotty texture when mixed with water 😉
