In response to this post@Gargron I never did Insta, federation made a Threads not necessary. Fb I have to keep a shell account for Fb Marketplace and a few times a year check on my extended family. WhatsApp was a hard enough move to get people to from SMS, very few joined me to Signal. I'm hoping more can follow me here eventually, but microblogging for me will likely remain mostly with internet strangers around shared topics and use messaging for those closer.
