For day 1 of , I made a map about ospreys with data from Feederwatch, a program for counting birds in November-April. Ospreys are abundant in North America, but they winter in the southern U.S. states (and farther south).

theme is Outdoors (Map of mountains, trails, etc.). I wanted to try draping a geologic map over a DEM and chose one of my favorite places Pitkin County, CO with the Maroon Bells area. Blue color: Maroon formation; Red: granodiorite; Yellow: surficial deposits.

For Day 1 of , I mapped 9 of the schools for Black children in northern Delaware when Delaware--there were more than 80 throughout the state when the state enforced racial segregation in schools.
