We had this TV show in the Netherlands where people needed to stay out of hands of the police for as long as possible, something like that
So they went on the "run" and the police tried to catch them and who stayed the longest out won
The thing where it almost always went wrong was... communication!
Most of the times the ppl on the run made the simple mistake of using WhatsApp for example, but the police already logged in on their account beforehand with the QR code lol

I didn't care much for the show but I was always wondering in how to solve such a thing
Guess the solution is reasonable simple..
Do not use traceable services but self-host and encrypt :bloblaugh:
The most "creative" way of communication was this dude that used the Playstation network to chat with the people he needed!
Wasn't enough but a lot more clever then posting it on Facebook for example :blobcatgiggle:

@stux My wife and I watched one of those true crime shows where they solved a murder by tracing the phone. Putting the phone in the area. It traced the phone from where the murder happened, to where the body was disposed of and to where the guy was hiding out. They found it by just comparing phone cell phone hits from the various towers. The phone shouldn't have been at all three places. lol
I told my wife, just to goes to show, if you are going to commit a crime, duct tape your phone underneath a seat of a someone else's vehicle and tell the cops you were out and about all day, and give yourself an alibi. 😂
