No-one will be surprised that the supposed Tory policy announced by Boris Johnson to build forty new hospitals, was not only a lie (this much we knew), but was not even nearly fully funded (even for the actual refurbishments passed off as 'new builds')
Its just another reminder that although saved in one sense from being Britain's worst ever PM by Liz Truce, Boris Johnson was a political cancer from whose effects we still suffer....

Ah, yes, the era of just say any old shit to get headlines in the UK is over.
Meanwhile, we're now in the era of tell us all the things we don't want to hear, and none of the ones we do. To Labour's credit, they do tend to stick to something vaguely resembling the truth.
And, oddly enough, many people prefer the prior.
