My heart goes out. We walked away from our Oregon home a few years ago on no notice, not knowing if anything we owned would survive. The fire was stopped a few miles short of our home and we were able to return a few days later, but several neighborhoods in our small town, and in surrounding areas, weren't so lucky. I know people rendered homeless, and we (the town) are still recovering. It doesn't end with the headlines.
