(Pausing again for domestic duties, will be back later. May go buy some more batteries, possible PSPS shutdowns again here and another mega battery bank would be handy - DIY AGM marine or auto batteries this time ;-)

(haven't started yet on those duties, LOL) One additional VLAT on order, total of two per Palisades air attack. #PalisadesFire 1/11/25 0853
Fire is currently pushing south down Mandeville Canyon, parallel to the two Mandeville Canyons. No significant fire activity, just "chunking away" moving south. #PalisadesFire 1/11/25 0855

What do you use to get 120V AC out of them? Any specific brand or model recommendations?

@ai6yr It adds some cost, but one nice thing about sticking to Group 24/27/31 stuff is you can put them in marine trolling motor portable battery boxes with handles to more easily grab one and go for mobile/portable deployment.
@TonyYarusso Thanks! I actually have 3 of those portable battery boxes in my backyard. Don't fit the bigger batteries as you mention. Weight of any lead acid is a big concern, was going to put this new system (if I build it) on a cart. The idea here is to use the roof power/emergency power from the inverter to charge up a BIG battery bank for 24/7 operations here.
