In Thailand, police have busted an electronic-waste smuggling ring after discovering a mountain of illegal e-waste during a raid on a factory in Samut Sakhon, the Industry Ministry said on Sunday.
There is a huge industry of exporting e-waste from the Global North to the Global South, where it causes incredible damage.

In response to this post@gerrymcgovern The article doesn't say what damage is caused. I'm wondering why, if this stuff can be safely recycled in the West, can't the same methods be used in eg Thailand?
