@gmillikan @ai6yr Hey Geoff, glad your friend is okay. I know I’m a little late here, and this isn’t as urgent as the other things I’ve seen mentioned, but when my ex husbands apartment burned, he was able to take a pretty hefty tax deduction (I believe he wasn’t insured at the time).

In response to this post@gmillikan @ai6yr So your friend may want to talk to a CPA or tax specialist, especially about how to handle the time between now & insurance decisions/payouts.
