nerdwoman's Bio
Hey folks! I am a nerd all about tech, linux, board games, video games, and weird medical knowledge. I worked in DevOps for a while, but now I'm very happily on a red team. I am an anti gender-essentialist tomboy who is here despite society, not because of it.

A lot of this is related to my lifetime of mental health issues - I CHOOSE how I feel, and I control the input to get that state I want. If something is making me miserable, I leave its presence.
And for the record, volunteering is probably one of the most effective ways to meet like-minded people in your local area. AKA friends IRL, which I know lots of folks struggle with in the era of WFH and being chronically online.

It's not that I don't agree with some of the louder people about the political issues at hand. It's that I am not here to be sad or angry. I choose to build bridges in my local community in real life and be loud THERE about how it's important to vote and include everyone. Otherwise I'm mostly preaching to the choir.
Volunteer locally, vote, and willingly and gleefully do jury duty (and please stop joking about how dumb it is) to be the change you want to see in the world. Help others IRL, I've somewhat seen it to be way more effective than ranting online.
