I'll re- #introduction since a lot of new folks are arriving. I'm a 57-year old disabled Masters student in horticulture & agronomy. I've been doing work on carob for a decade, but in grad school I'm working on almond.
Most of my life was in arts & humanities and I have always had an interdisciplinary approach to things.
Interested esp in anti-ableism, accessibility (in hort, in cycling, etc), fruit breeding, podcasting and more. #botany #horticulture #PlantScience

I don't know if we have the reach here in the Fediverse that we used to have on Txitter (please boost for reach!), but this photo reminds me:
Send me your photos of packaged and homemade #carob food & drink. And recipes for how you're using carob in its native Mediterranean range! (map by Alex Baumel Thanks to Imran Nazar for transcription to alt text)

@ai6yr @jds I think redundancy is good because the charged battery station will take you through the initial period, but if the emergency is fire, the smoke in the skies could eff up solar recharge for a couple days afterwards.
