Facebook fascism
Fucking awful. Absolutely do not want to hear "good thing I don't use Facebook" etc. Because your parents probably do and most of the people you grew up with do too.

beyond free as in beer/free as in whatever, beyond forkability and maintainability outside of a core dev team, beyond the hit by a bus test, there is soupen core: software that encourages the users to hold the developer accountable by threatening to round up a posse and ritualistically eat them in a soup

if you aren't designing your thing so at any moment if the people who use it decide you have come under the thrall of some malevolent spirit they can boil you up and eat your ass like a soup then is it even really open source

@Crispius
@ai6yr
Further watching of this video https://youtu.be/R3NeRXzYmHw and it looks like it's intended to be ridden as a toy or for sport, not for distance, so like a skateboard you're sorta riding defensively with the expectation of falling off which is less dangerous than a bike. Im still seeing him going over the front on like every crash tho so it looks like it would be pretty dangerous at any serious speed. Brakes appear to be on the back wheels? So you would get almost no stopping power once you started braking and weight went to the front unless you had the time to lean way back before starting the brake
@jonny @Crispius
Definitely not a transportation tool, looks like exercise combined with crashing.

And how do you stop it without faceplanting??? You get like 15 degrees of forward lean before center of mass is over the front wheel and it's not that far off when flat
@jonny @Crispius You appear to bail into the nearest bush/grass/brick wall to stop, from the videos 😬 😂
