I shall write no response to that thing written by a very rich idiot and breathlessly amplified by innumerable text extrusion factories more closely related to advertisers than journalistic principles, even though some few parts of it approach the state of holding a kernel of truth.

It's about 5 years late (‽) but better a late #introduction than none at all, eh? I hope?
I live with my wife in Toronto, Canada, near my siblings and a bit further away from my parents in Ottawa. I grew up in Montreal. My academic background is pure math but by vocation I am a sysadmin, or in production operations, or in DevOps, depending on the mean age of the hiring managers in the shop where I'm sending the resume. I worked in finance for a while; now I don't and I am much happier.

In response to this postJust re-upping this offer: because being comfortable with git is a barrier to entry to many FS/OSS projects, and because I care deeply about lowering those barriers, I will tutor anyone who asks for help with git, and/or connect them with any mentor(s) they might prefer.
I'll do this while I put energy and work into making the tool more approachable, and into making better tools and learning paths.

Just putting it out there: if anyone ever wants help - debugging, problem-solving, tutoring, whatever - with the Linux CLI (bash/ksh93, GNU coreutils..., vi, emacs, sed, awk) and/or git, I'll help.
I won't make you feel bad for anything you don't already know. I promise. (Nobody ever should.)
