When I was very young my father would sing me a lullaby, partly in French. I was so little I can’t remember the words or even the whole song but I remember the cadence of my father’s voice + the main melody.
Years later I discovered ‘You Just May Be the One’ by The Monkees has a very similar melody and rhythm as that lullaby. The song turned into a way to summon my father whenever I needed his strength or love. I’ve been grateful for that song my entire life but especially since his passing. 💕

In response to this postWithout a doubt this is the longest I’ve ever procrastinated finishing a drawing. 😰 Been almost *another year* but I finally finished the keypad on my Big Trak drawing. This was a big psychological hurdle to get over, I was dreading it. Maybe things will go quicker now. Hopefully. 🤞 #LineaSketch

After more than a full year of procrastinating, I’ve started back in on my Big Trak technical drawing. Tying to get as much done before work starts back up since I’ll probably not have much time after that but we’ll see.
Was really afraid of laying in the colored areas, which is the main reason why I’ve been putting it off for so long, but they seem to be going well *so far* 🤞 #LineaSketch
