43 years ago today, I started my 26 year career in the USAF. I started Basic Military Training, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. When you get off the bus, the Training Instructors yell “Pick um up!, put um down!” We had to pick up & put down our suitcases in unison. Nobody explained that to us before hand. Thanks recruiters. We got our heads shaved & picked up our uniforms in the next few days. There were 48 guys in my flight. We stayed in new RH&T dorms instead of wooden barracks. #USAF #BootCamp
