An #introduction: Hi I’m Sarah and I notice myself inhabiting the Software Person part of my identity more in this place, because so many tech people are here. I’ve been working in public interest software since the late 1900s. Currently SO LUCKY to be employed building Indigenous language revitalization tools that are open source and built on data sovereignty.
I like to use social media wrong-- dredge up conversations from years ago, link to other apps, post about many different topics.

Are people paying attention to the attempted police power-grab happening in #VictoriaBC ?
They have been trying to get the Ministry of Education to fire our elected school board and force police liaison officers into schools, over the objection of the Human Rights Commissioner and the local Teachers Association. That's a local issue that would not stay a local precedent-- anyone in BC can call the Minister about this!
